Avitech organised a Technical Seminar at Panchkula (Haryana) for Layer Farmers

Avitech organized a technical seminar for Commercial Layer farmers of Barwala and North India on 4th November 2006 at Hotel Pallavi. The technical seminar was aimed to share technical information and know how to enhance layer productivity.

Mr. M.V. Koushik, General manager (Marketing) in brief introduced about Avitech and its activities. He stressed about Avitech’s endeavor to improve the productivity of poultry farmer through its nutritional service provided by the technical team and “Nutrisys” feed analytical laboratory.

Dr. Rama Subba Reddy, Retired Professor, ANGRAU presented his topic on “Novel Feed Additives-Gaining the performance edge in layers”. He presented his lecture on importance of feed additives with his lucid style. Dr. Reddy emphasized on usage of antioxidants, lysophospholipids, organic acids and organic trace minerals in layer rations. To alleviate the present day production stress he suggested to all farmers to always use such feed additives and can compensate the feed cost by reducing some amount of soya. He emphasized on using Vit A and Vit C round the year to enhance the productivity.

Dr. K.R. Gunasekar, Senior Technical Manager, presented topic on “Nutrition for improved layer productivity”. He shared his views about the raw material quality and gave useful tips for on-the-spot checks. He also discussed about varying nutrient requirement of birds with various stress factors playing role. The graphic representation of it made it very simple for the audience.

Dr. Lokesh followed up with demonstration of Avitech’s new invention “Rapid Test Kit”, the tool beneficial in checking the protein quality. Rapid Test Kit is a user-friendly tool, which enables farmers to carry out on the spot test for adulterations and protein quality.
