“Seminar on Animal Nutrition by Avitech at Gorakhpur”
Avitech organised a technical seminar for feed millers on 19th January 2007 at hotel President, Golghar, Gorakhpur
Mr. Atma Ram Yadav, District Manager, commenced the meeting by a welcome speech and highlighted the activities of Avitech and the objective of the seminars. &nlThereafter Dr. Rama Subba Reddy, Retd Professor, ANGRAU took over and shared views on the “Role of feed additives in improving feed quality”. He urged the feed milling community to improve the feed quality for the betterment of the farming community by emphasizing the usage of antioxidants, toxin binders, emulsifiers and better quality minerals
Dr. Harish Dharne, Manager-Business Promotion, Avitech shared his views on economising on a subject dear to feed milling community. Dr. Dharne suggested various tools as purchasing quality raw materials and shifting focus from protein requirement to amino acid requirement.
He spoke on optimising calorie amino acid ratios whilst formulating feed, and the usage of synthetic amino acids, feed additives like enzymes and emulsifiers which provide the feed manufacturer options to produce feed at cheaper costs.
Following this Mr. S.A. Khan highlighted the future trends in the poultry feed industry. He updated the attendees with the grave situation of feed energy in the future. Feed grains like corn are presently diverted for ethanol production thus creating a potential huge shortfall of such grains for feeding purposes.
In his lucid way he urged farmers to adopt new technologies like enzymes, emulsifiers, to cope up with the future situation. He also emphasised on feed and plant biosecurity.
