“Know-edge Nutrition Seminar” Conducted by Avitech

      

Avitech Nutrition Pvt. Ltd., a leading animal nutrition company organized a technical seminar for Commercial Layer farmers of North India on 23rd May 2008 at Hotel Prabhat Inn in Panchkula (Haryana).

This technical seminar, the first in the series of “Know-edge Nutrition Seminars” is an initiative taken by Avitech towards increasing awareness in the area of nutrition amongst the layer farming community.

A large number of progressive layer farmers of Barwala region and renowned consultants like Dr. Jagjit Singh and Dr. Dhirender Kumar attended the seminar.

Dr. S.V. Rama Rao, Senior Scientist, Project Directorate on Poultry, Hyderabad was the chief guest for the evening.

The seminar commenced with a welcome note by Mr. Inderjit Singh Khippal, Regional Sales Manager, Punjab. This was followed by an introductory speech by Mr. Sanjiv Malhotra, CEO, Avitech who highlighted the activities of Avitech and the objective of the seminar.

Dr. S.V. Rama Rao presented a comprehensive talk on “Heat Stress: Nutritional Solutions”. In his speech he covered few novel concepts like maintaining energy and amino acid ratios, usage of oil for packing more energy, reducing phosphorus intake and maintaining dietary electrolyte balance to reduce summer stress. He also discussed about the variability in the nutrient requirement of birds and various stress factors that played a role within the farms.

Dr. Harish Dharne, Senior Manager, Avitech spoke on the current topic of rising feed ingredient prices. He demonstrated the ability of “LIPIDIN” in reducing feed costs. LIPIDIN a natural feed additive, which till date is only perceived as an emulsifier also has the ability to modulate the intestinal permeability thereby increasing the absorption of various nutrients, Dr. Dharne highlighted.

In his presentation he also elaborated some trial reports of LIPIDIN, which clearly show its ability to minimize nutrients through the ration. Dr. Dharne explained the matrix value for Lipidin, wherein 2% nutrients can easily be reduced thereby saving feed cost upto Rs. 200 per MT without affecting performance.
