Avitech team with team members of Neo Agro Business Co Ltd
Avitech Nutrition Pvt. Ltd., a leading animal nutrition company of India together with its distributor Neo Agro Business Co. Ltd in Vietnam organized a technical seminar “IMPROVING FEED EFFICIENCY AND QUALITY: TOOLS YOU CAN COUNT ON” for Commercial poultry, pig and aqua professionals. The seminar was organized on 26th August 2011 at Hotel Legend in Ho Chi Minh City. About 25 persons attended the seminar, and they were from different sectors of the industry, such as feed millers, farmers, nutritionists and vets.
This technical seminar, the first international one in the series of “Know-edge Nutrition Seminars” is an initiative taken by Avitech towards increasing awareness in the area of nutrition amongst world’s animal grower community.
A large number of invited feed millers, animal growers and nutritionists from the southern Vietnam province enjoyed the detailed presentation on the topic for more than 3 hours. Amongst the several eminent nutritionists present during the seminar were Associate Professor Bui Huy Nhu Phuc, Dept. of Animal Nutrition, University of Agri. & Forestry, HCMC; Senior Lecture and Head of Department Vo Van Ninh from faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, University of Agri. & Forestry, HCMC.
The renowned nutritionist of Southern Vietnam and Dean of Faculty Duong Duy Dong, Ph. D, Department of Animal Nutrition from University of Agri. & Forestry, HCMC helped in translating the content of presentation in Vietnamese.
The seminar commenced with a welcome note by Mr. Akkarapong Chotcomwongse – Director, of Neo Agro Business Co. Ltd, Vietnam. This was followed by an introductory speech by Mr. M.V Koushik, VP- Marketing, Avitech who introduced the audience to Avitech and Keggfarms group. He highlighted the capabilities, accomplishments as well as the various service activities being run by Avitech to animal industry as well as the objective of the seminar.
Dr. Naveen Kumar from Avitech spoke on the theme topic “IMPROVING FEED EFFICIENCY AND QUALITY: TOOLS YOU CAN COUNT ON”. Before his presentation on the theme topic, Dr Naveen highlighted the similarities between Indian and Vietnamese climate, similarities in the feed ingredients and the quality challenges being faced by the producers of both the countries. While trying to connect the dots between these two countries, he emphasized on how the learning and tools from India holds more relevance in Vietnam market.
While delivering his speech on the theme topic Dr Naveen spoke on the current topic of rising feed ingredient prices. He demonstrated how the use of tools like natural absorption enhancer cum emulsifier “LIPIDIN” helps in increasing the feed efficiency and reducing feed costs. LIPIDIN is an unique natural feed additive, which does not only function as an emulsifier but also has the distinctive capability to modulate the intestinal permeability thereby increasing the absorption of various nutrients, Dr. Naveen emphasized. In his presentation he also elaborated some trial reports of LIPIDIN, which clearly show its ability to minimize nutrients through the ration. Dr. Naveen explained the matrix value for LIPIDIN, wherein 2% nutrients can easily be reduced thereby saving feed cost without affecting performance. He further shared the trial and the role of LIPIDIN in reducing liver fat percentage.
Talking on the feed quality challenge being posed by the mycotoxins to the feed and animals performance, Dr Naveen Kumar first time introduced the Vietnamese audience with Avitech’s time tested solution for all the toxins “Avsorb Forte” with unique activated carbon. Sharing the different studies and comparative trials conducted on “Avsorb Forte”, he mentioned the amount of research and field trials carried out before finalizing the different ingredients and formulations of “Avsorb Forte”.
Mr. Ngoc Chinh, Sales Manager, Neo Agro thanked the speakers and participants. The seminar was followed by a lunch at Hotel Legend which is well-known for its sea food delicacies.
Also prior to the seminar, the Avitech team visited various swine and poultry customers in Vietnam at Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
