1. New Product Development

Our primary focus is on development of products that may benefit the industry by:

The R&D team works in conjunction with the Technical team, Marketing team, Production team, Laboratory team and Purchase team.

The Marketing and technical teams are key drivers in the product development plan. Once a decision has been taken on a new technology/product to be developed, an R&D plan is drawn up and a team comprising in-house and external experts reviews the progress periodically.

2. Improvement in existing products whenever and wherever necessary

In line with a continuously evolving market, Avitech periodically assesses its products to evaluate if any improvements are required.

3. Evaluation of new products and technologies available in the market

The R&D team evaluates new products and technologies for its suitability in local conditions. The in-vivo and in-vitro facilities present in R&D are utilized for this function.

4. Research on Micro and Macro Nutrients

Avitech’s expertise on animal nutrition is supported by research activities on micro and macronutrients by R&D. The animal testing facility is the greatest asset of this department to perform various studies in Nutrition.

Animal Testing Facility

Avitech’s latest asset is a facility dedicated towards the evaluation of Broiler performance. This facility is a vital tool for the evaluation and development of products and programmes.

The facility is located at Gurgaon (Vill. Dhankot) and has a rearing capacity of about 10,000 broiler birds. The total covered area is 16000 square feet (1440 M2) in four sheds spread over four acres. This well equipped facility has 86 pens, where more than 15 experiments can be carried out simultaneously. The size of each pen is 40 square feet (3.60 sq.mts.) floor space area.

A feed mill is also attached to this facility to prepare feed with varied experimental compositions in small quantities.

Apart from conducting trials on products, R&D also conducts trials or different formulations; breeds, climatic conditions and other stress factors to ascertain how the best performances may be achieved. This trial farm empowers Avitech with knowledge, which it shares with its customers.

Custom R&D Facility

Avitech’s future strategy is to extend its in-house trial facility to outside agencies as well. The outside agencies that are interested in out sourcing bird trials may conduct their studies at Avitech’s specialized facility.
